Dr. Bloom earned his degree in dental medicine from Tufts Dental School in 1978. From a commitment to his own intensive Hands-On training (with over 3,800 hours in advanced training) he’s become a master dentist in all aspects of restorative, aesthetics, non-invasive solutions, TMJ pain and dysfunction, headache pain and implant treatment. He is an alumnus of three of the most prestigious training centers in the country: the Peter Dawson Institute of Advanced Dental Studies, the Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Education, and the L.D. Pankey Institute. In 2000, he was one of seventy-five dentists from around the world selected for a visiting faculty position at the L.D. Pankey Institute—an elite distinction. Once a year he takes time out of practice to teach his expertise in TMJ dysfunction and treatment, aesthetic dentistry & smile design, reconstructive and implant dentistry using the latest in digital technologies, and the most conservative treatments using bonded composite, and porcelain., Mastery in Composite/Non-Invasive Aesthetics—Dr Bloom’s love for aesthetic dentistry began with his association with The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), where he’s been an active member since 1996. Through the AACD, he was introduced to the three world leaders in composite dentistry—Newton Fahl DMD, Pascal Magne DMD and world acclaimed lab artisan and Didier Dietschi DMD, dedicating weeks a year for his own training though their hands-on intensives. 2021-2023—Dr Bloom has taken 323 hours in personal training advancing his skills and expertise.

Mastery in TMJ/TMD and All Occlusal Issues—Dr.Bloom was trained at the Pankey Institute and now teaches the fundamentals of occlusion and treatment of bite issues. His practice of non-invasive therapies—Quick Splint, custom designed bite splint, harmonizing the bite (through equilibrating) and the MLS Cold Laser offer long-lasting pain relief. If you have structural complications (given trauma, car accident…) Dr Bloom will refer you to an ENT specialist but the majority of joint and jaw pain are muscle spasms caused by a bite issue and respond beautifully to non-invasive therapies.

Training—March 2024—Pankey Institute, Miami, FLA—five-day intensive on TMD and orofacial pain including training with a master in physio kinesiology. This is the 4th time Dr Bloom has attended this TMD intensive.  April 4-7-AACD meeting (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry)—Baltimore, MD. 

Training—2023—Pankey Institute-Miami Fla.— three-day intensive on TMJ/TMD and four-day session on mastering composite aesthetics (IDEA Center-S.F.).  March 23-25—Iguazu Falls, Brazil—Three day aesthetics symposium on advances in Non-Invasive treatment using composite technologies. The meeting was led by Newton Fahl DMD.

In August 2022—I.D.E.A Center, San Francisco, Dr Bloom participated in a four day intensive with Didier Dietschi DMD at the . Dr Dietschi is one three masters in the art of composite aesthetics (a passion of Dr Bloom’s). When you meet Dr Boom you’ll feel his passion for smile aesthetics.,
